There were about 10 godwit sp. on the beach down from seaside farms yesterday. At least one of them was Hudsonian ( it had the broad white band on the rump above the dark tail-tip.)

8-31-10 Out for an afternoon walk on the Spit, not actually birding. Many, many ducks in Mud Bay but didn't have the scope with us.
