Camped at the back of Tutka Bay this weekend.
Around 10 pm two common loons could be heard and seen out in the bay, towards the northeast shore side. Next day bush whacking fun through old growth forest in the afternoon, lots of hermit thrushes could be heard. One was spotted up really close (90% sure it was the hermit thrush...but could've been a swainson's). I also got a really good look at two golden-crowned kinglets that came nearby and spent a couple minutes in the trees right above me. Super cute!
