I stopped at Mud Bay tonight, July 27, at 7:30, one hour after high tide. I was surprised to see so many shorebirds in attendance. This is what I observed;
150) Peeps, predominately Westerns with at least
5) Least Sandpipers
1) Sanderling
8) Black Turnstones
30+) Semipalmated Plovers
6) Yellowlegs Sp., likely all Lesser (too far to tell)
4) Sandhill Cranes
Bird on!
