TRUMPETER SWAN

Postby lani » Wed Oct 19, 2016 8:29 pm

Alice Porter reported a "full sized" swan on Beluga Lake today down by the overpass area, at 6:30 pm. Presume Trumpeter Swan.

Also am getting WINTER WREN reports from here and there. So many of them last year and maybe still, yet more this year?

This morning I was told there had been three swans in Beluga Lake yesterday! They were seen down in the eastern part of the lake.

Have to go back and look up the latest previously reported here. There are many (100's?) that winter over at the mouth of the Kenai River I have been told.

Lani,
We had a Trumpeter Swan on the Christmas Count last year (or the year before?).
