This afternoon at 4.40, one of those moments that gets the heart beating a little faster - a different color, a different movement ... a flutter of excitement. ( A welcome distraction from "other events"... )
I know they are seen in Homer in the summer, but I had never seen one before. A Rusty Blackbird, in the elderberries.
The maggies were all a-twitter feasting on goodies I had put out, and its behavior more than anything else caught my eye with its tail flicking nervously. I hope it will return tomorrow.
