Marla and I finally found the Waxwings, out at Cannonball Circle. Thanks to Dave and Lani for the tip on that. I have one picture with 105 Waxwings overhead, which did not include all of them. I was watching for the juvenile Cedar Waxwing but didn’t see any juveniles. There were lots of Robins, and a few Varied Thrush and Grosbeaks. A small, unidentified hawk flew through it all leaving everyone headed for the exits.
At a feeder up the street from Dave’s place there was this Golden-crowned Sparrow. Does the Golden-Crowned over-winter occasionally?
