Dave Erikson reported on Feb 27th that there were 2 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS at a feeder on Diamond Ridge Rd. Also 8-9 RED CROSSBILLS were seen there.
Several SNOW BUNTINGS (up to 60 a week ago!) were seen at Heritage RV Park near where the "putting green" is. Some have been seen in that general vicinity frequently up to the present time.
On March 9th I counted 60 ROCK PIGEONS in the parking lot between the Chamber of Commerce and Fat Olives! They appeared to be getting gravel. At first I thought maybe food, but they were dispersed in the whole parking area and I couldn't see any food.
A SHORT-EARED OWL was reported again east of town, this time about 6 miles out East End Rd. Also a 3rd-hand report of one out on the Spit.
