Birding the south end of the North Fork Road near the campground/bridge about 2 miles in from the south end, I saw or heard the following birds on the 14th.
SANDHILL CRANE
WILSON’S SNIPE
BALD EAGLE
WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE
ALDER FLYCATCHER
BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE
AMERICAN DIPPER
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET
HERMIT THRUSH
VARIED THRUSH
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER
WILSON’S WARBLER
LINCOLDN SPARROW
FOX SPARROW
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW
PINE SISKIN

I had a fleeting glance at what might have been a BELTED KINGFISHER at the river and I think I also heard a TOWNSEND’S WARBLER.

Interesting to sit and watch the dipper fly down the river along the river and then return and try to be coy about going to the nest. I sat very still for a long time but was a human presence, couldn’t disguise that apparently.

There was quite a bit of traffic there between 7:15 and 8:00 am, which I hadn’t expected. The only other times I’ve birded there were Saturdays when the bulk of the morning traffic was more around 9:00 am.

What a wonderful place to bird along there. One of my favorite spots. And, it Was a Great Day to Bird!
